          Adam Gontier, the vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and primary songwriter of the band Three Days Grace, was born in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, in May 1978.

          He spent his childhood in Markham, Ontario, living with his mother Patricia and father Gordon.
