          My primary clinical research interest is in emergency evaluation and treatment of stroke focusing on the prehospital arena.

My experience in prehospital care includes serving in the leadership of the NIH-funded Field Administration of Stroke Therapy Magnesium (FAST-MAG) clinical trial as well a serving as a commissioner of Emergency Medical Services for Los Angeles County since 2012.
